Why Choose London For An Educational Tour?

History around every corner

With so much of the primary and secondary school curricula focusing on British history, London has an almost endless supply of artefacts and attractions to support your classroom learning.

Students can explore everything from the Tudors at the Tower of London to the Blitz at the Imperial War Museum. Meanwhile, the Churchill War Rooms haven’t been touched since 1945. Your class will see the actual map room where WWII operations were planned, with pencil marks still visible.

Literature in motion

Struggling to get Year 9 interested in Shakespeare?

Then let’s bring it to life. At the Globe Theatre, they’ll watch actors deliver the Bard’s famous lines exactly as audiences did 400 years ago.

Afterwards, you can head north of the river, across the Millennium Bridge, to Charles Dickens’ former home. It’s now a museum dedicated to his life and stories, allowing your students to learn more about one of our greatest writers.

And then, of course, there are the West End shows – a phenomenal experience for all, but in particular for theatre and drama students.

“Wow!” moments

As you walk into the Natural History Museum, watch your pupils lift their heads in wonder at the Blue Whale skeleton, suspended in the air of the entrance hall. You may have seen it before, but it’s a mind-blowing experience for young minds.

It’s what we call a “Wow!” moment. It’s when your pupils light up with excitement and genuine interest, and suddenly learning becomes easy.

London is full of these moments, offering brilliant value-for-money for UK schools.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Staying within the UK is a cost-effective choice for school groups, with London easily accessible by coach from all parts of the country. We can’t say how much it will cost exactly without discussing your planned activities, length of stay, and accommodation choices. Typically, however, it’s much cheaper than visiting mainland Europe. Please call our team for a full quote.

You can visit London all year round. Naturally, you should expect the weather to be worse through winter, so if you’re planning to be outdoors (for example, heading to a local theme park or enjoying a River Thames boat cruise) then you might want to aim for Spring or Summer. But it’s a special city in every season.

We will organise travel by coach for school groups visiting London. This is the easiest and most cost-effective option, plus it means you have private transport if needed. London traffic can be problematic, especially at peak hours, so there is also the London Underground and Overground rail network for transporting groups around the city.
