Why Choose Spain For An Educational Tour?
Inspiration around every corner
Spain has played host to some of the world’s most extraordinary artists, architects and creators.
Barcelona is a shining light. Sitting at the centre, Gaudí’s Sagrada Família is a cathedral like no other in the world. Inside and out, it’s a mind-blowing example of creative design. And if any of your students have a passion for STEM, don’t miss the museum, where you’ll find scale models visualising solutions to tricky engineering challenges.
Meanwhile, Madrid’s stunning art galleries are filled with masterpieces. Picasso’s Guernica always gets art students talking, and there are countless works by Dalí, Goya and Velázquez to admire.
A language learning experience
There’s no better way to boost confidence in Spanish than total immersion.
Ordering food, navigating cities, visiting museums, and chatting to locals. These are all opportunities to practice and test their skills.
This helps them move beyond rehearsed classroom phrases and start to think and respond more naturally. It’s an experience that can really shift a student’s mindset and spark a love for the language that lasts long after the trip is over.
Geography, culture & economy in action
Spain offers so much for young geographers. There’s the impact of mass tourism, coastal erosion, and even climate change – with the country experiencing severe heatwaves, drought and flooding in recent years.
At the same time, exploring the country’s traditions, industries, and distinct regional identities helps students understand how culture and economy shape Spanish society.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much do your school trips to Spain cost?
This depends on where you go and how long for. Plus, there’s the cost of different activities. We’ll keep it budget-friendly by organising a mix of activities tailored to your objectives. This will include both free (e.g. Parc Güell) and paid (e.g. Sagrada Familia) attractions.
What is the best time of year to visit Spain with a school group?
We recommend visiting Spain in the Spring or Autumn. The weather is usually pleasant and warm, and it’s not too busy. In summer, the Spanish cities can be too hot for a full-day of activities, and the volume of tourists can make it harder to manage a group.
What documents do students need to travel to Spain?
Students only need a valid passport, which must expire more than 3 months after your return date. There are no visa requirements for British citizens travelling to Spain, provided none of your students have visited the Schengen Area for more than 90 days in a 180 day period.
What transport options are available for visiting Spain?
Most school groups fly to Barcelona or Madrid. A coach journey would take too long, although it is possible.
Once you’ve arrived, we’ll arrange your transport options for each day. Both Barcelona and Madrid have metro systems, which is often the best option for getting around the cities.
