A city that captures the imagination.

A school trip to Barcelona is one your students will remember for years down the line. Not just because of what they learned, but because of how it made them feel.

The way the sun hits the Parc Güell’s beautiful tiles at golden hour. The sudden hush when you step inside the Sagrada Família. Laughter over shared tapas. New sights, sounds, and smells at La Boqueria Market.

It all comes together for a very special experience.

Our role is to create that experience for you and your students. Whether you’re interested in language, art, history, business, food technology, or something else – you tell us what you need, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Why Choose Barcelona For An Educational Tour?

Art, identity, and creative spirit

Barcelona is bold, bright, and full of character. You students will find it everywhere they go.

In Gaudí’s surreal architecture, where buildings twist and shimmer like something out of a dream. In the Picasso Museum, which traces the early development of one of the world’s most influential artists. And in the everyday culture of Catalonia, with its own language, history, and sense of identity.

That identity is intertwined with the city’s sporting heritage, too, which your students can discover on a tour of Camp Nou.

A trip to Barça’s stadium is something of a pilgrimage for football fans. The stadium is incredible, as is the experience of seeing Lionel Messi’s 8 Ballon d’Or trophies in the flesh. But it also serves as an important educational experience too – highlighting the business of sport and the pursuit of success.

A city shaped by visitors

Barcelona welcomes millions of tourists each year. That’s great for business – and a brilliant case study for students looking at the geography and economics of tourism.

But it also raises big questions about sustainability, local impact, and how cities manage success. In the summer of 2024, locals protested about the effects of tourism on the cost of living. This is an important and sensitive debate, especially for a city where the tourism industry provides over 150,000 jobs.

To take it further, your group could head down the Costa Brava. There, they’ll learn more about coastal erosion and the impact of rising sea levels, local ports, and dams on Spain’s famous beaches.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Overall, Barcelona is a reasonably priced destination for a school tour. Lost-cost flights are widely available from across the UK, so the major factor is your accommodation, how long you stay, and the activities you choose. This changes from group to group, so it’s tough to give an exact price without first discussing your requirements. Please get in touch for a full, transparent quote tailored to your school.

Located on Spain’s southern coast, Barcelona has excellent weather all year-round. That said, it can be a little too hot for students in the summer, and this is also the peak season for tourists and prices. We recommend aiming for the shoulder seasons (Autumn and Spring) if you can.

You will fly to Barcelona from the UK. Once you arrive, there is an excellent public transport system, including an underground metrolink that covers almost every inch of the city. It’s easy to use, low-cost, and provides a brilliant learning opportunity (particularly for geographer’s interested in urban planning).
