The beauty of the Northern Lights awaits.

A school trip to Reykjavík is ideal for groups in search of a breathtaking and unforgettable educational experience.

Iceland, as a whole, has it all. It’s ideal for anyone studying Leisure & Tourism, Geography, or STEM. The rugged landscape is beautiful, while the people are warm and welcoming (contrary to the climate).

Set on the southwestern coast, the capital city, Reykjavík, is the perfect base for school groups to explore the rest of the island. It’s well-connected and many of the most famous attractions are only a short drive away. It also has an easy-going lifestyle, fresh cuisine, safe streets, and a real appreciation for art, music and culture.

We absolutely love taking schools to Iceland. And it seems they love going – year after year, it proves to be one of our most popular destinations. So if you’d like to join them, get in touch and we’ll help you book your next school tour.

Why Choose Reykjavík For An Educational Tour?

Entry point to a geological wonderland

Iceland has an almost endless list of incredible geological features. Waterfalls, rivers, volcanoes, icebergs, beaches, caves, mountains, glaciers. It goes on and on and on.

And Reykjavík is the best spot to reach them all from. One highlight our groups love is the famed Golden Circle, a 300km loop of Iceland’s biggest tourist attractions, like Thingvellir, Strokkur, and Gullfoss. Reykjavík sits at the start and end of the tour, which can actually be done in just one day.

Modern capital city

Once you’re done in nature, and after a long day of touring, you’ll likely be exhausted – ready to flop into bed at the hotel and get ready for tomorrow’s adventures.

Pupils, though, often have endless energy. Fortunately, there’s plenty to keep them busy in the evenings. Reykjavík has all the hallmarks of a leading European city – a buzzy, but sophisticated, city centre filled with galleries, museums, theatres, cafes, restaurants, and far more.
