The perfect learn to ski destination
Monte Cimone is a popular and welcoming ski resort in the Northern Apennines, located approximately 70 km south of Modena. As the highest mountain in the northern Apennines, it offers good value, reliable snow conditions and a strong learning environment. Its manageable size, friendly atmosphere and quieter slopes make it an excellent introduction to skiing for students, while still offering enough variety to keep more confident skiers engaged throughout the week.
Learn to Ski Paradise
Monte Cimone offers around 60km of linked pistes across kore than 20 runs, making it ideal for mixed ability school groups. Dedicated beginner areas at Passo del Lupo and Le Polle provide excellent nursery slopes, while progression runs and superb reds help students build confidence throughout the week.
Around 25 efficient lifts keep queues short, while snowmaking across 80% of the ski area helps maintain reliable conditions throughout the season. Friendly, patient instructors focus on technique and confidence, with quieter slopes providing a relaxed learning environment. With around half the pistes suited to intermediates, there’s plenty of terrain to explore as skills develop.
