Skern Lodge

This school-friendly accommodation centre is a destination in itself. Dedicated to school groups coming to enjoy the thrill of outdoor learning, Skern Lodge is ideally set up to make supervision simple and allow your group to enjoy some unforgettable activities within a safe environment.

• Location: Skern Lodge is located a short walk from the charming village of Appledore on the Torridge Estuary, in the heart of the Braunton Burrows Biosphere Reserve.
• Features: There are plenty of areas around the site that can be used for classroom activities. There’s also a large dining room where meals are freshly prepared using seasonal ingredients. Not to mention, obviously, the incredible adventure activity facilities, which include a climbing wall and high ropes.
• Bedrooms: Students will stay in multi-bedded rooms with shared bathroom facilities, while accompanying teachers will be accommodated in the same block as students to facilitate supervision (in twin rooms with private bathroom facilities). Each accommodation block has a drying room and a common area that can be used for evening activities, morning meetings or classroom activities.
