French host families
If you want your students to be totally immersed in the French language and culture, the best way to achieve that is to have them stay with carefully-selected host families. Over the evening meal in particular, they’ll encourage your students to chat to them about their day, as well as the local culture and way of life.
- Location: Host families usually live within 30 minutes of the language school (on foot or by public transport).
- Features: Host families may be couples with children, but more often they tend to be older couples or single ladies whose own children have grown up and left home, leaving them the time and the space to accommodate your students. Every adult (18+ years) in the home will have a clean police record and all host families are well known to the dedicated Accommodations Officer at the language school.
- Bedrooms: Your students will share a room in the host family accommodation with another student (of the same gender) from your group. As you would expect, most accommodation offers a shared family bathroom.
