The heart of the Salzburger Sportwelt area
The heart of the Salzburger Sportwelt area and home to one of our clients favourite slopes and two of the most popular mountain restaurants – Uncle Tom’s Hut (amazing BBQ burgers) & the Doughnut Hut (egg & bacon doughnut anyone?).
The town nestles between the Grafenberg and Griessenkareck mountains and offers a great range of long blue and red slopes on both mountains ideal for putting miles on your ski legs.

Fun, Fun, Fun on the Autobahn

Once you access the Grafenberg Gondola there is no reason to return to the town as you can access all the slopes on both sides of the mountain via the stunning G-Link cable car and from there it is easy to explore the slopes to Alpendorf and Flachau. Beginners will find the sun bathed terrace at the top of the Grafenburg an ideal starting point before heading over to join the progressing skiers on the fabulous long red runs down to the town. Our groups call these runs the ‘Autobahn’ and as the name suggests these are wide open motorway style slopes that are great at building confidence. These long runs mean more time on skis and less time on lifts.

Test your mettle

After jumping on the G-Link the more testing slopes of the Flying Mozart gondola await. Some real leg burners to get your teeth into on this side of the mountain that will push the most advanced skiers. For those wishing to push on further than Flachau there is a free ski bus that will take the groups up to Kleinarl and from there you can ski over to Flachauwinkl and over again into Zauchensee.

Accommodation

Eat when you’re ready

For lunch there are options at the top, middle and bottom of the mountain but our groups always find their way to Onkel Tom’s Hutte or the Krapfenalm (doughnut house) where they are well received and never go hungry – our instructors stay with the group to ensure everyone has something suitable to eat.
