Slopes for All Abilities

After meeting in the coach park, the group take the short walk to the Kreisten-Alm high speed chair, beside the IBT Office, for the trip up to the meeting area at the Kreisten-Alm restaurant. From there, beginners will start off on the gentle slope beside the restaurant. Intermediate and advanced groups will take the warm up run down to the Buchau gondola to whisk them to the top of the Gernkogel mountain, where they will begin exploring the fabulous, winding red runs back down towards the Gondel Stubel, Kreisten-Alm or Buchau lifts.

Complete the Ski Safari

From the top of the Gernkogel, groups can ski over to the Hirschkogel mountain and spend time on the fabulous, confidence building blue and red runs that head down to the Hirschkogelbahn & Strassalmbahn lifts to return to the peak or head further over to the Sonntagskogel chair that gives access over into the Wagrain area and more fantastic open piste skiing. From there it is a short hop on the G-Link cable car to the Flachau ski area. Indeed, many of our beginners group manage to complete the Flachau to Alpendorf ski safari by the end of the week – a great achievement.

Accommodation

First Class Food

At lunchtime, the Kreisten-Alm is hard to beat. IBT enjoys a special relationship with the owners and staff with our groups always being treated to that little bit extra. Although other venues are available in the Alpendorf area, once you have tried the Kreisten-Alm, you won’t go anywhere else.
