Coronavirus & School Trips Abroad
Updated Wednesday, 9th September 2020
We have now spoken directly with, or emailed, all of our groups and schools which were due to travel before 31st December 2020 and our management team have replied to all incoming emails within a matter of days.
On 4th July 2020, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) updated its global advisory against ‘all but essential’ travel, exempting destinations that no longer pose an unacceptably high risk for British travellers. The list of exempt countries and territories can be found here.
We continue to monitor closely the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office advice regarding travel and government guidance in relation to school trips. Please be assured that we will do our very best to keep you informed as and when we receive the latest travel update. Our management team continue to be available to answer any queries you may have.
You can also find further guidance on travel from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) here.
As always, our number one priority is the well-being and safety of our groups and you can be assured that IBT Travel are committed to working with our accommodation, transport and excursion suppliers to ensure all rules and regulations issued by global and local governments are adhered to, giving you peace of mind that you can travel safely.
We thank you for your support during these challenging times for schools and look forward to looking after you and your students on your next adventure with IBT Travel.
